Yellow NZ Case Study

Yellow, formerly Yellow Pages NZ, successfully transformed its business model, achieving significant growth and recognition. The company saw a 100% increase in cash returns to shareholders, a 41% boost in profit margins, and a 20% growth in digital business. Additionally, Yellow facilitated a multi-million-dollar sale to a global Nasdaq-listed company.

The Challenge
Yellow faced the challenge of transitioning from a print-based business to a hybrid model that integrated both digital and print solutions for small to medium-sized businesses. The print segment was profitable but in decline, while the digital side was still evolving. This created two disconnected business units, resulting in a fragmented team culture and underperformance across the company.
